The IZIP Trekking Li NuVinci electric bike has an Electro-Drive hub motor drive system that powers the front wheel and is actuated through a proprietary PTS (Pedal Torque Sensor) system. The pedals also drive the rear-wheel drivetrain just like a conventional bike. The NuVinci CVP will serve as a rear-wheel drivetrain, replacing a traditional derailleur or internal geared hub and improving the rider's overall cycling experience.

Currie uses Valance batteries which are made using a patented phosphate based cathode material which is extremely stable in overcharge or short circuit conditions, neither prone to thermal runaway or burning, unlike inexpensive mass produced Lithium-ion batteries.

The Valence Saphion Lithium-ion batteries are the lightest and highest capacity battery with super long life. The technology offers the greatest combination of performance, service life, safety, cost, reliability and environmental characteristics. The batteries are integrated into the down tube of the bike, and the motor is in the hub of the rear wheel.

Ready-2-Ride (R2R): This bike arrives via truck in a custom-designed freight carton, completely assembled, quality-checked, charged up and ... ready to ride! This TLC takes two weeks of prep time. You can expect to receive your bike 3 - 4 weeks after your order is placed.
