A year in the making, this is the Motorboard everyone has been waiting for. When we first conceived the revolutionary Motorboard design a few years ago, the available battery technologies were limited. We first used a Lead-Acid battery, then moved to a NiMH battery. While everyone else marveled at how
light and powerful our Motorboard was, we knew we could do better, a lot better, if only the battery technology would catch up to our design. Well, that day has finally come.

The 2000XR uses a cutting-edge, nanotechnology battery from A123 Systems. This incredible battery is perfectly matched to our Motorboard, giving it amazing hill-climbing ability and range, while weighing only 16.5 pounds - four pounds lighter than its predecessor. (Other scooters can weigh 50 pounds or more.) The 2000XR is a quantum leap in scooter design,
technology,
and performance, and promises to revolutionize urban travel. The 2000XR is not a toy. We don't even like to call it a "scooter". We call it a Motorboard. It is a serious transportation device with a
top speed of 15mph, giving it the power and endurance necessary to get around in
any urban environment. What's even more incredible is that the 2000XR can be
easily folded up, and is light enough to be carried on the subway, train, bus, or into the classroom or workplace. The 2000XR can be fully charged in under 120 minutes. And, unlike most other electric scooters out there, the 2000XR can be kick-scooted due to our patent-pending free-wheeling technology, so even if your battery does die you won't be stranded. Which brings us to a discussion about the range of the Motorboard. Under average conditions, one full charge of the 2000XR battery pack will take you 5 - 6 miles.
This range can be extended in four ways:
Choose the 2000XR+ option, which increases the range by 50% - travel up to 8 miles in average conditions
Add a second battery pack, which doubles your range: 10 - 12 miles on the 2000XR, 16 miles on the 2000XR+
Kick-scoot whenever you can - this is a breeze on the Motorboard with its free-wheeling capabilities
Plug in and get a quick re-charge while you are at a coffee shop, office, classroom, or other destination of your choice

Front Suspension
The 2000XR is engineered with specially tuned
springs which give the motorboard a silky smooth ride, without
sacrificing performance by using inflatable tires. Our tuned springs
work in several modes to smooth out bumps as well as rougher road
surfaces. Perfect for gliding in any urban environment.
Twin Custom Motors
Our motors are custom made for this application.
They're not "standard, off-the-shelf" motors like others use. Our
motors have been custom wound and optimized for torque and
efficiency -- and have surprising power too.
6061 Aluminum Alloy
6061 Aluminum Alloy is used throughout. This
alloy is stronger and stiffer than the typical "architectural"
grades used by other manufacturers.
Nanotechnology Batteries
The 2000XR uses the world's most advanced
nanotechnology battery cells from
A123 Systems. While creating the 2000XR, we tested hundreds of
batteries from every major manufacturer on Earth, and nothing came
close to the power and performance of these batteries. Not only are
they incredibly powerful, but they are the safest lithium batteries
on the market.
Top speed is still limited to a safe 15MPH; range is approximately 5 - 6 miles (this can vary depending on factors such as terrain and rider weight).
Extended Range Option: 2000XR+ Motorboard
Upgrade your Motorboard with an extended range battery that allows you to travel 50% further for a range of approximately 8 miles (this can vary depending on factors such as terrain and rider weight), and adds only 13 oz. more weight. Cost: $150 additional, for a total price of $949.00.

Plus, the 2000XR batteries are low maintenance, so you don't need to
worry about treating them the "right" way. Just plug in to charge
when ever you like. You can't ruin the battery, no matter how hard
you try!
Signature Orange Wheels
Our wheels are made of the highest rolling
efficiency Poly Ether based Polyurethane available anywhere. This
elastomer is very durable and can tolerate the high speeds of the
Motorboard. Most other inexpensive "skate" wheels can't begin to
compare with our speed or efficiency.
Low Deck Height
Low Deck Height encourages you to kick to
accelerate. This saves significant amounts of energy. The low deck
height makes low speed maneuvering sure and positive, and makes high
speed handling confident. The low deck is more fun too!
Variable Throttle
Variable Throttle allows for smooth acceleration
up to cruising speeds. Battery meter tells you when you need to
charge the battery.
Computer Controlled
Computer Controlled Electronic Microprocessor
monitors and controls several system functions and maximizes the
flexibility and efficiency of our Pulse Width Modulated drive
system. It makes it possible to offer things like the Variable
Throttle and the power saving Kick-to-Go feature. It also
dramatically increases efficiency and battery life, while providing
excellent acceleration.
Piano Hinge
Most scooters use a "tricycle class" steering
neck. Our hinge is significantly stronger, and similar to the ultra
strong high performance light weight hinge configurations of
aircraft rudders and controls.
Superb Balance
We worked very hard to optimize our TranSporter
as a balanced system. We maximized the weight savings and achieved a
very compact folded size. Our complete TranSporter weighs less than
most light-weight bicycles. It seems even lighter because it folds
up be be easily carried in one hand.
Built Better
We stand behind the quality of our Motorboards,
with a warranty against manufacturing defects. In the unlikely event
of a defect, we will repair or replace your Motorboard. Of course
like any vehicle, normal wear and tear or abuse is not covered by
this limited warranty. But we will be happy to properly fix your
Motorboard for a reasonable fee.
